Signs your panel needs attention
- Breakers trip often, or won't stay reset
- A breaker or the panel cover feels warm, buzzes, or smells like burning plastic
- Lights dim when large appliances start
- Fuses instead of breakers, or a 60A–100A service on a modern home
- Federal Pacific (Stab-Lok) or Zinsco panels, which have known breaker problems
- You're adding a heat pump, hot tub, shop, or EV charger

Common questions
How long does a panel upgrade take?
Most residential panel swaps are done in one day. Power is off for part of that day while the new panel goes in and the utility reconnects service.
Is a 100A panel enough?
It depends on your home's size and what runs on electricity. We do a load calculation before recommending an upgrade.
